Topographic Surveys

The elevation data your engineer or architect needs to design with confidence.

Overview

A topographic survey maps the elevation, contours, and physical features of a property — trees, structures, utilities, drainage — that engineers and architects need to design a project.

It's typically one of the first steps before civil engineering or site design begins.

Our Process

  1. 1Establish survey control and benchmarks for the site.
  2. 2Field-collect elevation points, contours, and visible features across the property.
  3. 3Deliver a drafted topographic map as a PDF — with the AutoCAD (.dwg) drawing included on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

What file formats do you deliver?+

We deliver a PDF as standard. If your engineer or architect needs the AutoCAD (.dwg) drawing, just ask when you request your quote and we'll include it.

Do you include utilities?+

Visible surface utility features are located as standard; a full utility locate (811/private locator) can be coordinated if underground utility mapping is needed.
